My wedding thank you speech was well received by everyone. Thanks to the tips and tricks I found online. It is amazing what a Google search can come up with. I just stumbled into websites upon websites with tips and tricks about wedding thank you speeches. I want to share with you the things I learned so that you won’t have to experience the things that I did.

Before I got hold of the wonderful tips and tricks about wedding thank you speeches, I was concerned that I won’t be able to write and deliver a speech at my own wedding. I don’t want to disappoint my bride and the people that will attend our wedding. This really stressed me out to no end that I couldn’t even sleep just thinking of how to write and deliver my speech.

When you have a single theme, think of what you want to impart to your audience. Do you want to thank them by making them laugh or by inspiring them? Either way you have to make a point to your speech regardless of whether you want them to feel inspired or be enterntained.

As regards the delivery of your speech, you really need to practice it as much as you can. Repetition is the mother of study, as they say. In your case, repitition is about reciting your lines flawlessly.

If you can, try to rehearse your delivery with someone who can listen to you. Try to gauge his or her reaction, and try to get an honest opinion out of them. This is the best opportunity for you to improve or edit your speech.

When you don’t have anyone to listen to you, then record your speech and play it back so you can hear your diction and tone. This way you can improve upon your speech as much as a single person can.

Wedding speech etiquette is not just about being inspirational or humorous. There are also some guidelines that you want to follow when writing and delivering your wedding speech. Etiquette means you have rules to follow for socially acceptable behavior. For me, this simply means being considerate to others, especially your audience and the bride and groom.

The best thing to ensure wedding speech etiquette is to avoid drinking too much during the wedding reception. Drinking too much when you know that you are going to deliver a speech is a recipe for disaster. Here are a few things you need to avoid when delivering a wedding speech.

1. Avoid profanity or vulgar words as much as you can. Remember that a wedding is a General Patronage event. G-rated or General Patronage, if I can borrow from movie classification, means that everyone of every ages are going to attend a wedding. Inserting profanity into a wedding speech would surely have a lot of eye-rolling from parents who does not want their children to hear such language.

2. Do not use sexual innuendos or inappropriate jokes in your wedding speech. Again, the problem with this is that weddings are attended by people of varying ages. As long as you keep your speech clean, I see no problems with etiquette.

3. Double entendres or double meaning jokes should be kept to a minimum. In-line with the sexual innuendos, double meaning jokes are usually sexual in nature. You may be able to get away with one or two of this kind of joke, but do not overdo it.

4. Do not overuse inside jokes. Inside jokes are good if you tell one or two stories in your wedding speech, but do keep it to a minimum. Inside jokes are only funny for people on the inside. The reason for a wedding speech is to draw your audience in and not to alienate them.

5. Do not bring up stories about ex-relationships. Conversation about ex-relationships are only proper during private moments and not in a public setting, especially not in a wedding. The purpose for toasts and speeches in a wedding is to inspire the bride and groom, not to make them uncomfortable.

Keep these few pointers in mind and you will never go wrong. Just remember that good manners and right conduct are your only guide to make a good showing of yourself when it comes to toasts and speeches in a wedding. Wedding Speech Tips For Your Sister’s Matrimony

I wrote a great and inspirational wedding speech in my sister’s wedding. You too can help inspire and light up a wedding if you make a great speech similar to mine. Just read on and I can help you by sharing some of the knowledge I learned from some speech writing pages on the Internet.

I was also anxious and distressed at the upcoming wedding of my sister because I did not have a proper wedding speech or toast at all. I was so stressed out that I was not sleeping properly weeks before the wedding. I thought that I cannot come up with a good wedding speech. Good thing I searched around the web and found some guide that I also want to share with you all in this article.

The first thing I did was to calm down. After calming down a lot I was able to think clearly and searched the web for some answers. I will share with you some of the tips I found.

1. Write your speech with a single theme in mind. The one theme or one topic policy is definitely for coherence’s sake. This does not mean that you can only tell one anecdote or story. What this means is that you can tell a bunch of stories with one over-arching theme governing them.

2. After you figure out your theme then be sure to determine what point it is that you want to impart to your audience or listeners, especially the newly weds. You can be inspirational and funny at the same time.

3. Be imaginative, use colorful words, metaphors, and even strong imagery to help your audience visualize what you are talking about. For example, instead of stating things, show them. Show, don’t tell is the classic advice given to creative writers.

4. Rehearse your speech in front of someone else. This will allow the person to critique your speech and style of delivery fast and efficient. This is helpful if you don’t have enough time. Working with another person is really the best. Hey, the adage is correct, two brains are indeed better than one.

5. If you don’t have anyone to rehearse with then try and record yourself delivering the speech. Believe me, hearing yourself in recording will help you straighten out your delivery and even the voice and style of your writing.

I followed the following steps and I wrote a great wedding speech at my sister’s matrimony. It was a very classy and inspirational speech that did not detract from the newlyweds. I’m kind of proud of myself for putting the effort and thought into the speech. I was just glad that my wedding speech made my sister and her husband very happy.
